Service: Installation of charging infrastructure

Vienna Airport focuses on e-mobility - with six high-power chargers from Kostad

A new charging park with 12 charging points and 360 kW power is now available. The six fast-charging stations are located directly at the entrance/exit and are largely powered by the airport's own solar power. Payment is contactless with all major debit cards and at a super-affordable rate of 45 cents per kilowatt hour.

Technology in focus: Unity360 Charger from Kostad

The Unity360 chargers from Kostad are at the heart of the new charging infrastructure at Vienna Airport. With an impressive output of 360 kW per station, they are among the most powerful fast-charging stations on the market. These high-power chargers are specially designed to make the charging process as efficient and user-friendly as possible. Thanks to their robust design and advanced technology, they can consistently deliver maximum power even under heavy loads, which is particularly important in a busy location such as an airport.

Sustainable energy supply through solar power

Another highlight of the new e-charging station is its sustainable energy supply. During the day, most of the electricity is generated from Vienna Airport's own photovoltaic system. This system comprises 78,000 solar panels and produces over 46 million kilowatt hours of electricity every year, covering around 50% of the airport's energy requirements. With this approach, the charging park not only supports electromobility, but also actively contributes to reducing CO₂ emissions.

Easy handling and optimum accessibility

The charging stations are accessible to the public around the clock, 365 days a year. Thanks to their strategic location directly at the entrance and exit of the airport site, they are easily and quickly accessible from the highway and the B9. Payment is contactless and simple with major debit and credit cards, making the charging process as convenient as possible. What's more, there are no hidden fees or memberships - the kilowatt-hour tariff of 0.45 euros is transparent and clear.
