Vienna Airport opens charging park with six Unity360s from Kostad

Kostad is pleased to announce the opening of the state-of-the-art charging park at Vienna Airport. The six high-power chargers from Kostad offer 12 charging points and an output of 360 kW - at a low price of EUR 0.45 per kilowatt hour. Most of the electricity comes from the airport's own photovoltaic system, which covers around 50% of annual energy consumption.

The stations, which are accessible around the clock, are easy to reach and support Vienna Airport's climate protection offensive.

A strong team for a strong project

The charging park was opened on 29.08.2024 as part of a media event by Dr. Günther Ofner, CEO of Flughafen Wien AG, and DI Stefan Kovacs, Head of Planning, Construction and Portfolio Management at Flughafen Wien AG. The charging park was officially opened together with Oliver Dzijan and Günther Köstenberger, the CEOs of Kostad, as well as Niklas Rameis from ENIO GmbH, Johann Dorner from HABAU and other representatives of the companies involved.

Oliver Dzijan, CEO of Kostad, was proud of the successful implementation: "As an Austrian company that has been committed to electromobility since 2009, we are thrilled to be part of this exemplary project. The combination of super-fast charging, easy handling and climate-friendly energy generation sets standards that bring us a big step closer to emission-free mobility."

With the new e-charging station, Vienna Airport is making a significant contribution to promoting electromobility and improving the charging infrastructure in Austria. Kostad is proud to have realized this pioneering project together with strong partners and to be setting the course for a sustainable and emission-free future.
